When Do You Interview Guests?
We usually interview guests on Mondays between 12pm - 2pm EST and Fridays at 12:00pm EST. We ask guests to block off 45 minutes on their calendar, even though interviews usually last 20-25 minutes. We use a variety of recording platforms but primarily the Zoom for recording interviews in both audio and video files.
What Is the Format of the Podcast?
Our podcasts use the interview format between the podcast host and guest. We provide our guests with a list of standard questions to guide the conversation but leave room for improvising to ask follow-up questions during the interview.
What Questions Do You Ask Your Guests?
Standard questions include:
- Tell us a little about your organization/the work that you do, your project and your role?
- What are the challenges/opportunities facing your line of work/industry?
- How has your professional/personal journey prepared you to be a risk taker?
- What is the future of your field/profession?
- What tips/strategies can you share with our audience?
What Happens After the Interview?
The purpose for being a guest on our podcast is to share your knowledge with others! After the interview, we send the recording to our editing team. We will ask the guest if they prefer to review the final edited version before we publish the interview across social media (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook).
Most of our guests are fine with the recording! But if a review is preferred, we require a 48 hour response. Prior to publishing the interview, we will send the guest a Release Form. We will NOT publish the interview until we receive an electronic signature on the Release Form.
Once the interview is published, we will send the guest a link to the interview to share with their network.
